Staycation ~Equarius Hotel~

We had a wonderful two-night stay at the Equarius Hotel Sentosa. The hotel boasts "breezy deluxe rooms and suites with panoramic views of either the sea or the forest". The package did not state which view we would be getting, and it was a pleasant surprise to find out that our room faces the sea :)

At first at the reception counter the lady was informed that there were no rooms, then she informed us that we would be upgraded to the deluxe king room (Yea!). There weren't many guests when we checked in at about 5pm on our first day (after having fun at the Adventure Cove). The hotel was quiet and serene, away from the chaos in Festive or Hotel Michael.

Imagine our excitement as we strolled along the long corridors to our room. We had some mini drama in opening the door, as the knob did not budge when we tried to twist it. In the end the same lady at the reception had to kindly assist us and told us that the hotel is still new, and the room functions may have a little glitches here and there.

When we opened our door we were awed by the layout:

The King's size bed

Nicely furbished with a touch of elegance. The room is spacey and there is more than enough room for two occupants and their bulky luggage.

The bathroom is my favourite. It is so spacious that I bet it can house a mahjong table for four. I estimate it to be about the same size as my room! :o

Double vanity area

The bathroom is visible from the bedroom and vice versa. There is a way to block off the huge window, but since we are sisters, we did not bother to do it.

There is a 22-inch LED TV by the side of the basins, so the guest can enjoy watching TV while soaking in the bubble bath.

The shower chamber is separated from the bathroom. I was quite disappointed when I discovered that they did not provide conditioner. However, the shower gel and shampoo were surprisingly moisturizing, I did not need to use conditioner for my hair.

(I drew the curtains for a better pic)

The L-shaped sofa set is my another favourite. It is springy and comfy, just nice for resting after all the fun we had at Adventure Cove. We just retreated to the sofa and caught a couple of shows on the 44-inch LED TV before we went for dinner. The huge mirror behind it makes the room look more spacious.

Another wow factor is the spacey balcony our room offers.

 So spacious!
 Multi-me

In fact, I bet it can accommodate a BBQ pit and table and chairs for a nice gathering. The grass looks green and lush, but it is actually fake grass :(

Cable cars at sunset; (real) plants at the edge

The view is so-so, overseeing the pier and a bit of the Adventure Cove and Hard Rock Hotel.

I can easily climbed over to the other side as the fence separating the balconies is so low. -_-

We can just laze around and watch the world go by. That's what holiday should be, right?

Next on USS, day two! :)
