late night radio

managed to catch the broadcast at 2am last night, and i didn't sleep throughout the night. seriously. it is because last night's theme was JAPANESE DRAMA theme songs!!

nostalgic. and probably feeling a bit poignant when the familiar chord struck and resonanced in the silent night. classics like "can u celebrate", "totsuzen no love story", "la la la love song" were chosen, and the DJ commented after half an hour, saying that why nobody requested for KinKi Kids' songs. lol is the DJ a kinki fan??? or is kinki really that classic?? (omg, that makes kinki sound like someone in the past)

responding to the comment, i jumped up from my bed and posted my virgin comment on the forum, stating a list of kinki songs which are theme songs for dramas. and i realised they did starred in a LOT of dramas in the 90s. and dramatically decreased output in the millenium. koichi especially, starring in only one drama in 2002, then another in 2007, which flopped, sadly. tsuyoshi has better luck with the audience, and boy, everyone likes watching him act. but sadly he prefers playing music to acting in dramas.

speaking of tsuyoshi, seems like hk ppl watched Summersnow. the response was overwhelming last night, the DJ even talked about it for 5 minutes, which was quite significant considering the limited time given for each segment. Summersnow, another classic churned out by tsuyoshi (the first one is "to Heart"). memorable, as the story is too beautiful. the music too. though not sung by kinki kids, the music is so beautiful that it is almost painful to listen to. it brings back a lot of memories.

glad that the DJ put in two kinki songs. wow. two. by the same group of singers! haha. i suspect he is a kinki fan himself :P

here is one he missed, which is a pity, cos a couple of listeners requested for it. a real classic by tsuyoshi:

there is no other kindaichi!!!
